The Long View
Ten to fourteen nights · £8,050 per person · the deepest chapter
The programme for a guest approaching fifty, approaching retirement, or approaching a decision to live differently. Canyon Ranch's four-night Longevity8 is around £15,800 per person; The Long View is half that price, at three times the duration, with a warmer tone, shorter flight, and substantially better food.
The deepest clinical arc: four time points, three-month follow-up.
- Naya Mati — GP consultation with Dr Shiv Chande — full sixty-minute arrival intake on day two, weekly mid-stay clinical touchpoints (typically days four and eight) folding in each Nidana time-point as results come back, and a departure review to hand over the medical portion of the take-home protocol. Medical history, medications, cardiovascular and metabolic risk, and the clinical framing that shapes the four Focuses the guest chooses at intake.
- Prakriti Mati — Ayurvedic consultation with Dr Prasanna Kerur — full-hour arrival consultation covering dosha typing, pulse diagnosis, current imbalances, and the Ayurvedic reading of the bloodwork; a weekly mid-stay treatment adjustment session (two mid-stay touchpoints across a twelve-night stay, typically day five and day nine); a departure consultation to hand over the take-home Ayurvedic protocol. Weekly rather than more frequent because a second review inside a single week rarely produces a materially different clinical picture — the body needs a week to register the change; four formal touchpoints across the fortnight is enough contact to genuinely re-sequence the treatment stack twice as the body responds.
- Pathya Mati — Nutrition consultation with the dietitian — sixty-minute intake, a mid-stay review folding in food diary and CGM data where the guest is wearing one, and a departure session finalising the eight-week take-home dietary protocol aligned with the guest's dosha typing and the Ahara longevity kitchen.
- Manas Mati — Psychology consultation with the Manas clinician — hour-long arrival session with the HCPC-registered clinical psychologist covering nervous-system pattern, stress load, sleep-and-mood interaction; a mid-stay review to check how the week has landed; and a written frame that guides which of the four Focuses (typically Klesha, Manas, or Nidra) would land deepest. View is the tier where the full psychology stack can genuinely embed rather than be introduced.
- Nidana Tier 4 — Deep Longevity Panel across four time points — the full Medilab MediMan / MediWoman comprehensive panel on arrival, now including the six standard-inclusion markers folded in per the Nidana review (homocysteine, omega-3 index, free T3 + reverse T3, SHBG, DHEA-S, IGF-1), plus a full cancer marker panel (AFP, CEA, CA15-3, CA19-9, LDH, and beta-HCG for men or CA125 for women — total PSA on clinical indication only per Dr Shiv Chande's guidance). A targeted mid-stay recheck on flagged markers on day seven or eight, a departure recheck on the most movement-sensitive markers, and — most importantly — a posted three-month follow-up panel sent to the guest's home country, with a video consultation reviewing the result. The three-month follow-up is what converts a fortnight in Jersey from a destination stay into a longitudinal relationship — the differentiator no medical-clinic competitor matches at the same rigour. Bundled with four scheduled clinician consultations: thirty-minute pre-arrival call, forty-five-minute arrival results consultation, thirty-minute departure consultation, and thirty-minute post-results review three months after the guest returns home.
- Deha — Two DEXA scans (arrival + departure) — gold-standard body composition and bone density scan in the dedicated Deha room, run by an IR(ME)R-certified DEXA operator. View is the only programme where a paired body-comp read is worth the second scan: ten-to-fourteen nights is the edge of where minor body-comp trends start becoming meaningfully visible on DEXA. Within-stay weight and body-comp trend is otherwise tracked via bioimpedance + medical-grade scale in the Kaya assessment room, radiation-free and sensitive to the daily change.
- Kaya — Full movement battery with single-plate + Theia3D motion capture — Functional Movement Screen, grip strength on a clinical dynamometer, single-plate power read on the Vald ForceDecks Mini, Theia3D 3D markerless motion-capture of gait and squat with kinematic L/R asymmetry, and five to six 60-minute Bala training sessions across the fortnight. The kinesiology scientist reads all findings together and writes the take-home movement prescription; on View, corrective work has room to actually land within the stay rather than only being prescribed for home.
- Nidra — Orion sleep tracking + Sleep Disruption Test + Terra sleep report — dual-zone temperature-controlled bed with contact-free nightly tracking of HRV, sleep stages, breathing rate and snoring across all twelve to fourteen nights; Orion Sleep Disruption Test delivered on the first night; night-waking protocol fully integrated with sleep-stage tracking of intervention effect across the full stay; take-home personal sleep report at departure with an eight-week home protocol reviewed at each fortnightly post-stay check-in.
- Hima — Six to eight cryotherapy sessions across the stay — whole-body LN2 chamber at −140°C, two-to-three-minute sessions delivered by a trained operator. Cadence deep enough for measurable recovery and sleep-architecture effects over the fortnight.
- Prana — Eight to ten guided contemplative sessions — 45-minute guided pranayama and mindfulness sessions with the yoga team, running as a daily anchor across the fortnight. Two weeks is long enough for the practice to become embedded rather than introduced; twelve nights of HRV data via Orion paired with the daily practice produces a genuinely striking before-and-after on autonomic balance, captured in the take-home report alongside the sleep, dietary, bloodwork, and body-composition shifts.
- Written Ayurvedic bodywork prescription — Dr Prasanna Kerur's suggested treatment sequence (typically three abhyanga, two shirodhara, two udvartana, one body envelopment or hot stone, plus one or two additional therapies from the Ayush menu across the fortnight), delivered in writing at the end of the arrival Prakriti consultation, updated at each weekly mid-stay review, and finalised at departure. Treatments themselves are not included in the £8,050 fee: guests book them separately via the Ayush Spa at reservation or on arrival. Specific recommendations are surfaced only on request.
- Daily health coaching plus eight-week post-stay follow-up — up to twelve one-to-one Health Coach sessions across the stay (short daily check-ins plus two extended weekly protocol reviews), then four fortnightly virtual coaching check-ins across the eight weeks following departure. The post-stay cadence is the deepest of any programme in the ladder — designed to keep the take-home protocol on the rails through the vulnerable re-entry period.
- Sauna, steam and the full hydrotherapy circuit — part of the evening wind-down ritual, in the Ayush Spa wing, sustained across the full two weeks.
- Five to six Long Walks on the Jersey coast with a member of the team — guided, usually late afternoon, on varied island landscapes across the fortnight.
- Expanded educational component — four to five Ayurvedic philosophy classes with Dr Prasanna Kerur, two longevity cooking sessions in the Kitchari kitchen with the Ahara team.
- Personal health record that transfers between stays — every View guest's four-time-point Nidana panel, DEXA arrival + departure, Kaya battery, and full clinical notes are held as a personal health record that carries forward to any future stay (Reset return visit, Phase 03 panchakarma extension, or a subsequent View). The baseline against which every return visit is measured. Guests who want the ecosystem discount and the year-round companion app between stays can join the Discount Membership membership for £200/year, unlocking a £1,000 discount on any future View booking.
- Full board at Ahara — breakfast bundled in the room rate; lunch and dinner from the longevity menu at £90 per person per night, integrated with the dietitian's take-home protocol.
The modern panchakarma protocol — full purvakarma, sequenced virechana and basti, targeted nasya, marma work — is planned as the Phase 03 extension of the Long View. Full detail, including what implementation would require, is set out on the Phases page. Phase 02 Long View is designed to stand on its own commercial and clinical merits without it.
Where each part of the £8,050 actually goes.
The Long View is sold as a single bundled fee — £8,050, all-in. £690 is true third-party pass-through — Medilab's Tier 4 Deep Longevity Panel (four time points across the relationship, cancer markers, four scheduled clinician consultations), now including the six standard-inclusion markers folded in on the Nidana review (homocysteine, omega-3 index, free T3 + reverse T3, SHBG, DHEA-S, IGF-1). The remaining £7,360 stays with the hotel and funds the new programme infrastructure — twelve days of Dr Prasanna Kerur's daily contact, two DEXA scans, Kaya battery with single-plate + Theia3D motion capture, Orion, daily coaching, continuously-updated sleep report, eight-week post-stay follow-up, personal health record admin: £1,278 total hotel delivery cost. Net contribution to new investment: £6,082 per booking — an 83% margin on the net-to-hotel residual. Ayush spa treatments sit outside the bundled fee — guests receive a written prescription from Dr Prasanna Kerur, updated at each weekly review, and book any treatments they want directly through the spa at retail brochure rates. The View remains the margin engine of the ladder — every £100 of View pricing flows almost entirely through to new-investment contribution.
Only Medilab is a true third-party pass-through. Ayush spa treatments sit outside the bundled fee — the Prakriti prescription is included; the treatments themselves are booked à la carte through the Ayush spa at retail rates. What's left is an 83% net-to-hotel margin — the largest per-booking contribution of any programme. The posted three-month follow-up included in the Medilab pass-through is what makes the Long View structurally different from any spa-hotel competitor at any price point. Full per-tier panel detail is on the Nidana page; the four-programme comparison and full methodology is on the Programmes page.
What price does each margin imply?
Costs above are fixed: £690 of pass-through to Medilab, plus £1,278 of hotel delivery (new programme infrastructure). Ayush spa treatments are outside the bundled fee and therefore outside this calculation. The only thing that changes with a different target margin is the price the guest pays. Drag the slider.
Medical-clinic-space average for a 12-night stay (weekly all-in flagship rates at SHA, Lanserhof, MAYRLIFE, Original Mayr / Park Igls, VIVAMAYR, Palazzo Fiuggi, Chenot, and Six Senses Ibiza pro-rated to 12 nights — all-in means programme + room + full board): ~£13,500. The Long View all-in ranges from £10,978 (Tier 6 Attic Character) to £13,456 (Tier 1 Studio Suite) depending on suite tier — the range sits £44 to £2,522 below the ~£13,500 medical-clinic average (0% below to 19% below). Super-premium tier — Canyon Ranch Longevity8 (~£47k for 12 nights pro-rated) and Clinique La Prairie (~£48k for 2 weeks) — sits far above. See the Competitors page.
Recommended: £8,050 — the current listed price held with Ayush spa treatments removed from the bundle, roughly half of Canyon Ranch's four-night Longevity8 at three times the duration and comfortably below the Lanserhof / Chenot / SHA flagship fortnight. Delivers an 83% margin on the honest Sama Clinic spine; the removed spa pass-through recovers as clinical margin without changing the guest headline (£8,050 corresponds to 81.7% margin precisely — the slider is integer-only so the recommended position shows £8,179). Any Ayurvedic bodywork the guest books through the Ayush spa is billed separately at retail brochure rates and sits outside this calculation entirely.

Long View sits within half a cell of Canyon Ranch on absolute clinical breadth (10.5 vs 11 cells) and one and a half cells behind Clinique La Prairie (12), at roughly a quarter of their price. On cells per £1,000, SHA's aggressive 12-night pro-rated pricing (0.98) leads Long View (0.86) — the honest read is that at this length SHA is genuinely competitive on longevity-focused density per pound. What our proposition does not include: colon hydrotherapy (sits outside the evidence base we're prepared to stand behind), natural thermal / mineral waters (geography), IV nutrient drips (aesthetic-medicine adjacent rather than longevity-medicine per Dr Shiv Chande's view), dedicated osteopathy (Phase 03 workforce), and — at Phase 02 — cellular / stem cell therapy (Six Senses and Clinique La Prairie's signature offer). Where Long View still wins decisively: half the price of Canyon Ranch and Clinique La Prairie at broadly comparable clinical breadth, the posted three-month follow-up structure that only Clinique matches (and less rigorously), Ayurvedic depth none of the medical-clinic set offers, Focus architecture that only we structure, and the four-Mati intake architecture that no competitor operates.
Up to four Focuses. The depth to do them all justice.
Every Long View includes the same core clinical spine. On top of that, a View guest may add up to four Focuses — Kanti (skin), Nidra (sleep), Klesha (stress and burnout), Manas (depth), Kaya (movement), Bala (performance), Agni (gut), or Upavasa (fasting) — to specialise the fortnight in the areas that matter most. Ten to fourteen nights is the first stay length where all four can be delivered without crowding each other; most View guests choose three or four. Full definitions and indicative pricing (£500–£1,800 per Focus) are set out in the Focus architecture section on the Programmes overview.
How the guest picks
Focuses are chosen at booking, not at arrival — Medilab needs eight to ten working days for the added panels, and Dr Alexa Kerr's aesthetic diary or Dr Marie-Christine Dix's stress-and-burnout list may need calendar space. There are no defaults; reception offers the eight Focuses on the booking call and confirms the guest's choices on the pre-arrival questionnaire. Common View patterns are Klesha + Nidra + Kanti + Manas (the perimenopausal + mental-health quartet), Agni + Klesha + Nidra + Upavasa (gut-stress-sleep-metabolic reset), Bala + Kaya + Nidra + Klesha (performance-and-recovery), or Klesha + Kanti + Nidra + Manas (the full burnout recovery). Guests may take fewer than four Focuses; some take none at all and use the fortnight for spine-only depth.
The deduplication rule
Some Focuses share elements. Klesha and Nidra both include a CBT-I course with the Manas psychologist. Klesha and Kanti both draw on the DUTCH hormone panel. Klesha and Manas both include one-to-one psychologist sessions. Upavasa and Agni both draw on the dietitian's daily monitoring. When chosen Focuses overlap, each shared element is delivered once and each subsequent Focus is discounted by that element's cost — the guest is never billed twice for the same test, session, or protocol. Four-Focus stacks therefore come in substantially below the sum of their sticker prices; reception surfaces the actual bundle price at booking.
How a Focus reshapes the day-by-day
The fourteen-day itinerary below is the spine — every View guest goes through it. Chosen Focuses add specific slots on top rather than replacing anything. Two weeks is long enough that a four-Focus stack sequences comfortably rather than colliding. A Klesha guest picks up a DUTCH cortisol panel at the arrival draw, sees the Manas psychologist for six to eight sessions across the fortnight (loaded toward the first ten days so integration can settle), and runs the CBT-I course through the evenings. A Kanti guest adds a Dr Alexa Kerr skin consultation on day two, four to five Aruna red-light sessions across the fortnight, one to two HIFU or RF microneedling sessions with recovery time built in, medical-grade peels, and a hydrafacial toward departure. An Agni guest picks up a GI-MAP microbiome stool sample kit on arrival for early collection, sequences a three-day kitchari monodiet in the second week, and takes home the full 5R supplementation programme. A Bala guest adds VO₂ metabolic-cart testing on day two and again on day twelve (a genuine within-stay before-and-after), a strength-testing baseline on day three, sports-nutrition consultation across the coaching sessions, and a tailored twelve-week take-home training programme. An Upavasa guest runs the 5-day Fasting Mimicking Diet (Longo protocol) under Dr Shiv Chande's medical monitoring, timed to the second week when the body has settled into rhythm and the clinical team has enough baseline to intervene safely. Dr Prasanna Kerur shapes the written treatment prescription across the full fortnight to accommodate all chosen Focuses — the fortnight is where the four-Focus configuration finally becomes possible without compromising any of them, and where the guest has enough runway to book against the prescription meaningfully at the Ayush spa.
Two structured departures from the standard shape — a returning View guest can book Focuses without the View spine (typically as a shorter maintenance stay in the years following an initial View), and any guest can bring recent external diagnostic results (within twelve months for movement-sensitive markers, eighteen for DEXA) to receive a recent-test credit against the programme fee for the skipped tests. Both are set out on the Programmes overview.
How a Long View would run.
Ten to fourteen nights. The shape is three-part: baseline at the start (days one to three), an established rhythm in the middle (where the programme does its actual work), and consolidation before departure (the last three days). The middle week deliberately runs on a pattern rather than a series of discrete events — by day five or six the body has stopped treating clinical touchpoints and Ayush spa slots as novelty and starts registering them as rhythm. That shift is the commercially important one. Ayush spa treatments are not included in the programme fee — guests can book any treatment at any point during the fortnight (or pre-book at reservation) via the Ayush Spa, against the written prescription Dr Prasanna Kerur hands over at the arrival Prakriti consultation and updates at each weekly review.
