The Long Reset
Five to seven nights · £3,290 per person · the programme the house is designed around
Enough time for real protocol, measurable change, and genuine habit formation. Sits meaningfully below the price point of Lanserhof, Chenot and SHA's flagship longevity programmes — but delivers a structurally comparable experience, distinguished by Ayurveda and by Jersey.
The full clinical arc: arrival, mid-week action, departure record.
- Naya Mati — GP consultation with Dr Shiv Chande — full sixty-minute arrival intake on day two plus a scheduled mid-week clinical touchpoint to fold in the Tier 3 bloodwork as the arrival results come back, and a departure review to hand over the medical portion of the take-home protocol. Medical history, medications, cardiovascular and metabolic risk, and the clinical framing that shapes the three Focuses the guest chooses at intake.
- Prakriti Mati — Ayurvedic consultation with Dr Prasanna Kerur — full-hour arrival consultation covering dosha typing, pulse diagnosis, current imbalances, and the Ayurvedic reading of the bloodwork; a mid-stay treatment adjustment session on day four; and a departure consultation to hand over the take-home Ayurvedic protocol.
- Pathya Mati — Nutrition consultation with the dietitian — forty-five-minute intake with the HCPC-registered dietitian covering eating pattern, food-and-mood history, and the four-week take-home dietary protocol aligned with the guest's dosha typing and the Ahara longevity kitchen. Second thirty-minute session on the last day to review what's shifted across the week and finalise the take-home plan.
- Manas Mati — Psychology consultation with the Manas clinician — hour-long session with the HCPC-registered clinical psychologist covering nervous-system pattern, stress load, sleep-and-mood interaction, and a written frame that guides which of the three Focuses (typically Klesha, Manas, or Nidra) would land best if selected.
- Nidana Tier 3 — Comprehensive Longevity Panel across three draws — the full Medilab MediMan / MediWoman comprehensive panel on arrival covering approximately one hundred individual data points across every major system, now including the six standard-inclusion markers folded in per the Nidana review (homocysteine, omega-3 index, free T3 + reverse T3, SHBG, DHEA-S, IGF-1). A targeted mid-week recheck on whatever the programme is actively addressing (typically hs-CRP, fasting glucose, fasting insulin) lets the medical team evidence change rather than promise it. A departure recheck on the most movement-sensitive markers (lipids, hs-CRP) produces the arrival-vs-departure page in the take-home report. Bundled with a twenty-minute pre-arrival call and a forty-five-minute post-stay consultation reviewing the three time points side by side.
- Deha — DEXA scan on arrival — gold-standard body composition and bone density scan in the dedicated Deha room, run by an IR(ME)R-certified DEXA operator. The baseline every future return visit measures against. One scan only on Reset (body composition does not shift meaningfully in a 5–7 night stay so a departure re-scan would be diagnostic theatre); within-stay weight and body-comp trend is tracked via bioimpedance + medical-grade scale in the Kaya assessment room, radiation-free and sensitive to the daily change.
- Kaya — Movement quality battery with single-plate + Theia3D motion capture — Functional Movement Screen, grip strength on a clinical dynamometer, single-plate power read on the Vald ForceDecks Mini, Theia3D 3D markerless motion-capture of gait and squat with kinematic L/R asymmetry, and three 60-minute Bala training sessions across the week. The kinesiology scientist reads all findings together and writes the take-home movement prescription.
- Nidra — Orion sleep tracking + Sleep Disruption Test + Terra sleep report — dual-zone temperature-controlled bed with contact-free nightly tracking of HRV, sleep stages, breathing rate and snoring across all seven nights; Orion Sleep Disruption Test delivered on the first night to establish the personal sleep-fragility profile; take-home personal sleep report at departure with a four-week home protocol.
- Hima — Three to four cryotherapy sessions across the stay — whole-body LN2 chamber at −140°C, two-to-three-minute sessions delivered by a trained operator. Positioned after Bala training or before the evening wind-down; deeper cadence than Pause so recovery-and-sleep effects have room to compound across the week.
- Prana — Four to five guided contemplative sessions — 45-minute guided pranayama and mindfulness sessions with the yoga team across the week, drawn from the Ayurvedic tradition. Seven nights of HRV data via Orion paired with the practice arc produces a meaningful before-and-after on autonomic balance, captured in the take-home report alongside sleep, dietary, and treatment effects.
- Written Ayurvedic bodywork prescription — Dr Prasanna Kerur's suggested treatment sequence (typically abhyanga, shirodhara, udvartana, a restorative body treatment, plus one or two additional therapies from the Ayush menu), delivered in writing at the end of the arrival Prakriti consultation, updated mid-stay as clinical findings settle, and finalised at departure. Treatments themselves are not included in the £3,290 fee: guests book them separately via the Ayush Spa at reservation or on arrival. Specific recommendations are surfaced only on request.
- Three health coaching sessions plus two post-stay video calls — one working session mid-week (day three) with the Health Coach to check how the week is landing and adjust, one on day five drafting the four-week take-home protocol, one on day seven finalising the written plan. Then two scheduled video check-ins at week two and week four post-stay to keep the take-home protocol on the rails while the guest re-enters life.
- Sauna, steam and the full hydrotherapy circuit — part of the evening wind-down ritual, in the Ayush Spa wing.
- Three Long Walks on the Jersey coast with a member of the team — guided, usually late afternoon, on varied island landscapes (typically south coast, north coast, and cliff path across the week).
- Two Ayurvedic philosophy classes and one longevity cooking session in the Kitchari kitchen with the Ahara team.
- Full board at Ahara — breakfast bundled in the room rate; lunch and dinner from the longevity menu at £90 per person per night.
The modern panchakarma protocol and the introduction of marma therapy, described on the Phases page, would extend the Long Reset once Phase 02 has proven the commercial case. This requires clinical infrastructure and supervision capacity not commissioned at launch; committing it to Phase 02 would risk underdelivery. The Phase 02 Long Reset is designed to be genuinely excellent without it.
Where each part of the £3,290 actually goes.
The Long Reset is sold as a single bundled fee — £3,290, all-in. £470 is true third-party pass-through — Medilab's Tier 3 Comprehensive Panel and clinician consultations, now including the six standard-inclusion markers folded in on the Nidana review (homocysteine, omega-3 index, free T3+rT3, SHBG, DHEA-S, IGF-1). The remaining £2,820 stays with the hotel and funds the new programme infrastructure — Dr Prasanna Kerur's extended daily contact, DEXA, on-site diagnostic panels, Orion tracking, coaching, protocol drafting, and post-stay follow-up: £707 total hotel delivery cost. Net contribution to new investment: £2,113 per booking — a 75% margin on the net-to-hotel residual. Ayush spa treatments sit outside the bundled fee — guests receive a written prescription from Dr Prasanna Kerur, updated mid-stay, and book any treatments they want directly through the spa at retail brochure rates. At this margin, roughly 115 Long Reset bookings a year covers the entire annual new-investment burden unassisted.
Only Medilab is a true third-party pass-through. Ayush spa treatments sit outside the bundled fee — the Prakriti prescription is included; the treatments themselves are booked à la carte through the Ayush spa at retail rates. What's left is a 75% net-to-hotel margin — the piece the board's investment case actually rests on. Full per-tier panel detail is on the Nidana page; the four-programme comparison and full methodology is on the Programmes page.
What price does each margin imply?
Costs above are fixed: £470 of pass-through to Medilab, plus £707 of hotel delivery (new programme infrastructure). Ayush spa treatments are outside the bundled fee and therefore outside this calculation. The only thing that changes with a different target margin is the price the guest pays. Drag the slider.
Medical-clinic-space average for a 7-night flagship stay (weekly all-in rates at SHA, Lanserhof, MAYRLIFE, Original Mayr / Park Igls, VIVAMAYR, Palazzo Fiuggi, Chenot, and Six Senses Ibiza — all-in means programme + room + full board): ~£7,800. The Long Reset all-in ranges from £5,075 (Tier 6 Attic Character) to £6,624 (Tier 1 Studio Suite) depending on suite tier — the range sits £1,176 to £2,725 below the ~£7,800 medical-clinic average (15% below to 35% below). See the Competitors page.
Recommended: £3,290 — the current listed price held with Ayush spa treatments removed from the bundle, comfortably below Lanserhof, Chenot, and SHA at the same length while offering structurally comparable clinical depth. Delivers a 75% margin on the honest Sama Clinic spine; the removed spa pass-through recovers as clinical margin without changing the guest headline. Any Ayurvedic bodywork the guest books through the Ayush spa is billed separately at retail brochure rates and sits outside this calculation entirely.

On cells per £1,000, Long Reset (2.19) and SHA (2.21) are essentially tied on longevity-focused density per pound — SHA's aggressive 7-night pricing sits fractionally ahead. On raw cell count, Palazzo Fiuggi (12) sits within striking distance of Long Reset (12.5) because of its thermal-water heritage and manual-therapy tradition, and the Mayr trio + Chenot cluster around 10 because of their colon hydrotherapy, IV, and osteopathy stacks — categories we've deliberately chosen not to build. What our proposition does not include: colon hydrotherapy (sits outside the evidence base we're prepared to stand behind), natural thermal / mineral waters (geography — we don't have Fiuggi's aquifer or Park Igls's Tyrolean springs), IV nutrient drips (aesthetic-medicine adjacent rather than longevity-medicine per Dr Shiv Chande's clinical view), and dedicated osteopathy (a workforce hire earmarked for Phase 03, not commissioned at launch). Where the argument still holds: level with SHA on cells/£, 1.5× Palazzo Fiuggi, 2-4× the Mayr trio and Chenot, priced £1,300–£6,800 below the medical-clinic set, Ayurvedic depth none of the Mayr set offers, Focus architecture that only we structure, and post-stay follow-up that only Chenot even attempts.
Up to three Focuses. The tier where stacking makes sense.
Every Long Reset includes the same core clinical spine. On top of that, a Reset guest may add up to three Focuses — Kanti (skin), Nidra (sleep), Klesha (stress and burnout), Manas (depth), Kaya (movement), Bala (performance), Agni (gut), or Upavasa (fasting) — to specialise the week in the areas that matter most to them. Seven nights is the first stay length that gives three overlapping Focuses room to breathe rather than crowd each other; most Reset guests choose two or three. Full definitions and indicative pricing (£500–£1,800 per Focus) are set out in the Focus architecture section on the Programmes overview.
How the guest picks
Focuses are chosen at booking, not at arrival — Medilab needs eight to ten working days for the added panels, and Dr Alexa Kerr's aesthetic diary or Dr Marie-Christine Dix's stress-and-burnout list may need calendar space. There are no defaults; reception offers the eight Focuses on the booking call and confirms the guest's choices on the pre-arrival questionnaire. Common Reset combinations are Klesha + Nidra + Manas (the mental-health triple), Klesha + Kanti + Nidra (the perimenopausal cluster), Agni + Klesha + Nidra (gut-stress-sleep), or Bala + Kaya + Nidra (performance-and-recovery). A Reset guest may also choose fewer than three Focuses, or none at all.
The deduplication rule
Some Focuses share elements. Klesha and Nidra both include a CBT-I course with the Manas psychologist. Klesha and Kanti both draw on the DUTCH hormone panel. Klesha and Manas both include one-to-one psychologist sessions. When chosen Focuses overlap, each shared element is delivered once and the second or third Focus is discounted by that element's cost — the guest is never billed twice for the same test, session, or protocol. Three-Focus stacks like Klesha + Nidra + Manas therefore come in meaningfully below the sum of their sticker prices; reception surfaces the actual bundle price at booking.
How a Focus reshapes the day-by-day
The seven-day itinerary below is the spine — every Reset guest goes through it. Chosen Focuses add specific slots on top rather than replacing anything. A Klesha guest picks up a DUTCH cortisol panel at the arrival draw, sees the Manas psychologist for four to six sessions across the week, and runs the CBT-I sequence in the evening slots — typically two psychologist sessions in the first three days, two mid-week, one wrap on day six. A Kanti guest adds a Dr Alexa Kerr skin consultation on day two, three Aruna red-light sessions in the afternoon rotation, a HIFU or RF microneedling session mid-week, and a hydrafacial on day six. An Agni guest picks up a GI-MAP microbiome stool sample kit on arrival for pre-departure collection, replaces the standard longevity dinner on kitchari-monodiet days, and receives the full 5R supplementation programme to take home. A Bala guest adds VO₂ metabolic-cart testing on day two and a strength-testing baseline on day three, with sports-nutrition consultation woven into the health coaching sessions. Dr Prasanna Kerur shapes the written treatment prescription to accommodate the chosen Focuses — recommending more restorative treatments alongside a Kanti or Klesha guest, more stimulating ones alongside a Bala or Kaya guest, and sequencing abhyanga around fasting days where Upavasa is chosen — for the guest to book against at the Ayush spa if they choose.
Two structured departures from the standard shape — a returning guest can book Focuses without the Reset spine (typically as a shorter maintenance stay after their initial Reset or View), and any guest can bring recent external diagnostic results (within twelve months for movement-sensitive markers, eighteen for DEXA) to receive a recent-test credit against the programme fee for the skipped tests. Both are set out on the Programmes overview.
How a Long Reset would run.
Seven nights, the shape the programme is designed around. Sunday arrival; departure the following Sunday. Three arcs: arrival and baseline (days one and two), the deeper middle where the body starts to register the change (days three to five), and integration before departure (days six and seven). The rhythm below is the flagship shape; individual protocols adjust within it. Ayush spa treatments are not included in the programme fee — guests can book any treatment at any point during the stay (or pre-book at reservation) via the Ayush Spa, against the written prescription Dr Prasanna Kerur hands over at the arrival Prakriti consultation (and updates at each mid-stay review).
