Kanti. The non-invasive skin protocol.
One of eight Focuses · available on Pause, Reset, and View · £800 – £1,500 indicative
The full non-invasive skin-health protocol delivered by the aesthetic team led by Dr Alexa Kerr. Bloodwork, hormone panel, imaging, red-light, a course of medical-grade energy treatments, and a written twelve-week protocol the guest takes home. Named after Sanskrit kanti — radiance, lustre, glow. Botox, fillers, threads and other injectables sit outside this Focus and are priced separately at Dr Alexa Kerr's rates; the Focus is deliberately the non-invasive lane, so a guest can take a full skin-health decision before deciding whether they also want injectable work.
The full non-invasive skin lane, over the course of the stay.
- Intake consultation with Dr Alexa Kerr — sixty minutes on day two of the stay. Skin history, medication and supplement review, life-stage read (peri- or post-menopausal shifts, thyroid interactions, cortisol patterns), and personal goal setting for the twelve-week protocol.
- Digital skin analysis and imaging — VISIA-style multi-spectral imaging capturing baseline photodamage, vascular patterning, porphyrin (bacterial) load, and evenness. The image set becomes the reference for the after-scan at the end of the twelve-week protocol.
- DUTCH hormone panel — dried urine steroid hormone panel covering the full cortisol rhythm across the day, sex-hormone profile, and metabolite pathways. Shared with the Klesha Focus if both are chosen; the deduplication rule means the panel is delivered once and the second Focus is discounted by the DUTCH cost.
- Perimenopausal skin bloods — additional draw over and above the Nidana standard panel, covering markers most relevant to skin health at midlife: fasting insulin, HbA1c, ferritin, zinc, vitamin D, and free testosterone.
- Course of Aruna red-light sessions — full-face LED sessions in the Aruna room, scaling with programme length (typically two on Pause, three on Reset, four to five on View). Non-invasive, evidence-based support for collagen synthesis and inflammation reduction.
- HIFU or RF microneedling session — one session on Pause and Reset, up to two on View (with the required recovery gap built in). The aesthetic team selects modality based on the intake read.
- Medical-grade peel — one on Pause, one to two on Reset, up to two on View, selected from the aesthetic team's peel formulary (glycolic, TCA, or Jessner depending on skin type and photodamage).
- Hydrafacial — one late in the stay to consolidate the work of the peel and energy sessions, typically the day before departure so the guest leaves with visible improvement.
- Written twelve-week skin protocol — a personal at-home protocol from the aesthetic team covering topicals (SPF, retinoid, vitamin C, growth-factor serum), supplementation, sleep-and-cortisol advice, and a recommended return schedule.
Injectables (Botox, dermal fillers, thread lifts, PRP hair, biostimulators) and any additional-session or maintenance treatments sit outside this Focus and are priced separately at Dr Alexa Kerr's published rates on the Kanti Skin menu. The Focus is deliberately the non-invasive lane so that a guest can take the twelve-week decision — bloodwork, imaging, and a course of clinical treatment — before choosing whether to add injectable work on the same stay or a subsequent one. Guests on Pause / Reset / View who want additional Hydrafacials, extra LED sessions, or a between-programme maintenance course book those from the Kanti Skin menu too — same reception, same clinician, same room.
Where each part of the £1,200 actually goes.
The Kanti Focus is priced at £1,200 recommended (indicative range £800 – £1,500). Inside that fee, £140 flows through to Medilab as the indicative pass-through cost of the DUTCH hormone panel and the perimenopausal skin bloods. The remaining £1,060 stays with the hotel and funds the hotel-delivered portion of the Focus — the aesthetic-team treatments (HIFU or RF microneedling, medical peel, hydrafacial, Aruna red-light sessions), Dr Alexa Kerr's intake consultation, VISIA imaging, and the twelve-week protocol drafting. After costing hotel delivery at £460, the net contribution to new investment is £600 per Focus — a 57% margin on the net-to-hotel residual.
Only Medilab bloodwork is a true third-party pass-through — Dr Alexa Kerr and the aesthetic team are employed hires (see the Sama Clinic workforce table), so their consumables and time are hotel-delivery costs, not external pass-throughs. At the recommended £1,200, the Focus lands at a 57% margin on the net-to-hotel residual.
What price does each margin imply?
Costs are fixed: £140 of pass-through to Medilab, plus £460 of hotel delivery (aesthetic-team treatments and clinician time). The only thing that changes with a different target margin is the Focus fee. Drag the slider.
Recommended: £1,200 — sits in the middle of the indicative range and positions Kanti as accessible against standalone aesthetic protocols (a single HIFU session at a London medi-spa is typically £600–£1,200 on its own; a private DUTCH panel is £250+). The slider lets you test alternatives.
Who Kanti isn't for.
- Recent injectable work — HIFU and RF microneedling require a defined interval after Botox or fillers; Dr Alexa Kerr's intake will surface the specific gap needed.
- Active acne, rosacea flare, or open lesions — the peel and microneedling components are deferred until the skin is settled; the intake will restructure the sequence or defer the Focus to the next stay.
- Isotretinoin (Roaccutane) within the last twelve months — a contraindication for medical-grade peels and microneedling by standard aesthetic-medicine guidance.
- Photosensitising medications — some antibiotics, antifungals, and hormonal treatments interact with the light therapies; the intake includes a full medication review.
- Pregnancy — DUTCH, RF, HIFU, and the aesthetic peel formulary are all deferred until the postpartum window.
